Blade Character Sheet

Updates on Anime

Hi!

It's about time! My scanner finally is up! Now I can scan some of the things that I drew.
Lately, I have been sketching out a few pages EVERYDAY of the comic. (Mostly in school). So I can't wait to post them up here.
I have been doodling on my computer and drew a few cool things. I also made character sheets.

New Characters = More work!

Hi everyone!

Well, I have been doing research and found this comic called Twilight Spirits. It HAD the potential  to be good, but the author quit. That just made me want to keep going. Trust me, I have!
I sketched the new Page 1 of the comic, but guess what? PRINTER IS FAILING ME!!! Stupid technology! (LOL)
So anyway, when my printer (and scanner) get back up, I will get to work on editing and all that. My trial ran out for Photoshop and I hate using other stuff!! I want Photoshop so badly, it's the only thing I want this Christmas!
Again, off track. I created a new character, well SEVERAL new characters: Rider, Dash, and Mika. Check out the pack page to view them.
I have been quite busy drawing those character AND trying to get a trial for Photoshop Elements so I can do a speedpaint on YouTube. I am also doing a Logo and when I get that down, I am opening a shop in Cafepress where you can get all kinds of BHW stuff.
I really hope that my printer gets back up!

I went and found this BBA Character Creator and I thought, COOL! I can do some of my wolves here. So here are three of them, more will be posted throughout the week.

That one is Scyther. He is the Elite Fighter Captain and later Arrow's mate.

That one is Alpha Female Glacier.

So I think that is pretty cool. I am going to do more and maybe even create a character creator of my own!

Model Wolves

Hi everyone!

I have a few model wolves that I am using to aid me in the creation of the BHW Trailer.

That is the wolf I am using for Blade. He is done by Kay Fedewa, author of the BBA comics. He is also the model for Raptor, hence the name above him.

Arrow is also appearing so this is her model :).

Glacier has her model. And that is Whitewind, or Lady Whitewind. Also done by Kay Fedewa. She is Glacier's permanent model, and again, that is the reason for the name.

There are plenty more but those are the main ones appearing.

Today I am writing with much anger and sorrow. I love wolves and hate hunting them. This article in the Outdoor Life February 2011 addition is very sorrowful for me. Here I have posted the article.

"There was a significant interest here in Idaho in the hunt continuing," says Ed Mitchell, spokesperson for Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG), "and we were expecting pretty strong tags sales for a 2010 hunt."
More wolf hunts, though, went into limbo in August 2010, when a US Federal District Court formally reinstated federal ESA protections for wolves in the Northern Rockies, due to lawsuits brought brought by animal-rights and anti-hunting groups.
While that still left much day-to-day management to the states, reinstating ESA protections stopped any public hunting or trapping.

Local Economics Suffer (excerpt)
The blockage to public wolf hunting is a shame. IDFG sold more than 30,000 wolf hunting licenses for it's very first hunt, generating nearly a half-million dollars in revenue. That hunt opened on September 1, 2009 and ended on March 30,2010. In all, 188 wolves were taken.

Fingers Crossed
More wolf hunts? Not impossible. Montana is petitioning the feds for greater wolf management authority, while Western legislators have promised to find a way to give wolf control to the states.

Well, now that you read most of the article, can you see what I mean? Why do people hate wolves so much? What have they done to us?
We can stop wolf hunts. Work with me and we can find a way to stop all hunting FOREVER.

First Hunt

Hi everyone!

Good news! My brother went on his first hunt yesterday and caught a doe! Yay! He tells me that the moment he pulled the trigger, the deer fell dead. A direct hit!
Anyway, this was also Arrow's first hunt. I will post that up in the writer's page soon. She did really great, because she is already an elite!
That Arrow pic I was working on will be up SOON. I have been so busy with school and stuff and I just started lagging. It will be up either TODAY or TOMORROW. I promise!

What's A Graphic Novel About?

Hi everyone!

Today is Saturday and I'm HAPPY about it! No school until Monday!
Anyway today I wanted to fill you in on some updates. Arrow needs another fix up today and she will be posted. I am also going to do Lightrun.
I wanted to talk about what a graphic novel is about. A graphic novel is a novel...in graphic form! The novel has to tell a story as a novel would but you must graphics. It does make it a bit more complicated.
What's the point of a graphic novel? I think the point of a graphic novel is to engage the readers more. When there are snappy pictures and cool looking words, yeah! That will make more people want to read it.
So in creating a graphic novel, think about why you want people to read it. Good Luck!

Dedication, Dedication, Dedication!

Hi everyone!

I have been busy with school and stuff but I managed to fit in some time to blog here.
I was thinking last night about how important it is to be dedicated in your work. Without dedication, you will easily lose hope and quit. The thing about a graphic novel is it needs time and dedication. Dedication is a huge thing, as I learned. It takes a lot of time to do a great job on a graphic novel. It could take years. But never lose hope and always remember to be dedicated.
Here are some things that help me to be dedicated to my graphic novel in process:
1. I try to draw a wolf everyday and practice that wolf.
2. I write down a bit of the story everyday
3. I look at other anime wolf drawings everyday

By drawing my wolves each and everyday it keeps me busy and focused on what I am doing. Writing down the story helps me to keep it straight in my head. Looking at the other anime wolves lets me see what my drawings could be if I stay dedicated.
So dedication is a huge factor!

I am so very sorry that I have not posted in forever! I wish I could be on more but I have school and homework and all that. So please forgive me for not posting at all!
I have been modifying Arrow a lot and she looks pretty cool, but I am still fixing her up. I also decided that some of my wolves, like Lightrun, won't have that hair on their heads. I drew Lightrun. I have to upload her soon.

Creating a Graphic Novel

Hi everyone!

Sorry for the late post. I was busy doing things with my family. I just quickly needed to post.
Today I wanted to talk about what I have learned in my experience of creating a graphic novel. 1). Creating a graphic novel takes more time than you think! There are so many steps you have to take to be successful. 2). Getting a story in your head takes a good chunk of time. You have to revise the story. I learned that it is best to write down your story in novel form first. 3). Digital editing takes work. Don't expect to have a professonal looking picture of your character done in an hour. It takes a while to have a nicely done anime or any character.

So I hope that gives you some ideas on how to start if you want to. Just remember, never give up!

Hi everyone!

School is coming up again real soon. I won't be able to post as much because of homework and blah...grrr. I am not looking forward to losing summer.
I am updating my characters, especially Arrow. She has a brand new look that is pretty cool. I can't wait to post her!
I am also looking at BBA YouTube movies and I am making a Black Heart Wolves YouTube that has all the characters drawn by me. And the Requiem for a Dream theme song. It will be cool.
As you can see, the blog look is updated to a more colorful look. I like this one much better. Give me feedback though!
Yesterday (as we hit the lucky 300 with this blog!) I was at a party to meet the new Youth Pastor of out church. It was soooo much fun. We went swimming in the lake and me and my friend Kara didn't bring our suits so we just went in with our clothes! It was great!

New Ideas

Many new Decisions

Hi everyone!

I have made a few decisions today while I was talking a walk with my mom. The first one was to write out the Black Heart Story in Novel form just to get an idea on how I want the story to go. I will post it as soon as it is done
The other decision is a hard one that I decided to make. I kinda like to do things on my own, but I was too lazy to learn how to do this! But anyway, I have decided to have a partner in my Black Heart comics. I am looking for someone who is good at doing landscaping and other animals. This is a huge job that means a lot to me. So someone who knows how to do that will be greatly accepted and will be given permission to post here on the blog!
The position is opened right now. I need someone who is AMAZING at landscaping. Just remember this is a big decision for me and a hard one.

Hi everyone!

About two days ago this blog was a great hit thanks to my website Esa. We had a nice 21 views that day and I am very happy! Yesterday though...we only had 1 person!
Anyway, I am going over to my friend's house today for a sleepover. Last time that happened, everyone else got the good spots and I was crammed between a wall and a chair with no room at all. I had a sleeping bag that didn't go past my knees! It was a fun night...NOT! I hope it will be better today!
I am starting a dog walking buisness and I can't wait! I am saving up money to 1) Redo my room and 2) Get my own dog. Yes I have Eddie, but that doesn't count! He lives with my grandma. I want a dog in MY house.
I have been practicing Arrow lately as I am planning to have her appear in the next page of the comic. I haven't totally gotten her down yet, but I am working on it! I also did a sketch on Lightrun and Stride. I am looking at more BBA wolves and finding new ways to draw. I also discovered something! I am also learning where it's best to put all the random fur on the wolf. Because of my new ideas, Arrow isn't bad at all! In fact, I am very pleased with her.
My Arrow  Line art may be coming today...or not. It is kinda hard to fix it up AND color it. But it will be here!
Anyway, I will be posting stuff on my Photoshop too. Be sure to check it out.

Update on Ideas

The Dark Fang wolf gets knocked over but then he throws off the Black Heart wolf and is about to finish him off, but then Arrow makes her first appearance.

New Ideas, Who's been by, Pack Update, and School

Hi everyone!

I decided today that I will talk about some important stuff today. First of all, I have been working on ideas already for page 2 of the comic. But these are just ideas and I still have not received any feedback on page 1. So it will be quite some time before page 2.
Second, I was checking out who's been by here and stuff and I was looking at the backlinks and YAY! This blog is pretty darn popular as it is appearing in Google searched related to anime wolves! And I was pleased to see that people were checking out the newest page. Hopefully they are getting pack ideas!
Alright this is not so important, but I feel I need to talk about it. My pack update. I have been updating my pack as much as possible but NOBODY views it! HELLO!! I spend time on that! So just to humor me, go to the page. You don't even have to read anything. :)
Now this is really important. When school kicks back in, I won't be on here as much so I may only post ONCE A WEEK or TWICE A WEEKS. Please don't give up on me. I really try to do as much as possible but when there's homework and stuff, it's not that easy. I will post when I can and somewhere in there expect comic page 2. But please don't stop viewing. Even if I don't have enough time to write, then I might post pictures and things. I will be on here.
I have been wanting to get someone who could help me here and there with my blog and now I decided that when school starts, it will be nice to do that. So I might introduce Jenna to this blog. She won't blog (except a welcome message) but when I can't be on here, she will check comments and stats. I can't wait for her to join this blog!

Page 1 In Play Format

Hi everyone!

 I just wanted to post pages 1 in play format here. Sorry I didn't post yesterday.

Scene 1: It's early morning and wolves are rolling around, fighting each other. The Dark Fangs are fighting with the Black Hearts after they tried to steal a wolf pack's pups.

Narrator Arrow: This is our life.

Dark Fang: Meet your DOOM!

Black Heart: Please! No!

Narrator Arrow: Fun, right? We fight like this a lot. It's not that we like getting chewed up and killed, we just have to! Otherwise, not just our pack will die. All of the packs will. It's our duty to protect them. And our own pelts.

Dark Fang Commander: RETREAT!! RETREAT DARK FANGS!!

Narrator Arrow: We don't like to surrender. Sometimes we have to. But I know one thing...Windfoot can't win and we can't loose.

Comic Update and other stuff

I am putting in the words to the comic page. I am so excited to share it with you!
As you know I created a new character named Stride. He has become a favorite of mine, so I decided that he won't be the main character, but he will be someone who shows up a LOT. Same with Lightfoot, another new character. I will post up her 'sheet' later.

Comic Update!

Hi everyone!!

It might be Monday that the comic strip gets put up. Just remember that I am only 12 and that this my first time!! Thanks for all your support and don't worry. It will get put up, but maybe not until Monday. Until then, I will keep drawing it and editing it. For my first time doing this, I think I am doing pretty good! Once again, thanks for your support!

Hey every one!

I was surfing web again and I came across this cool thing. Go to the Create a Wolf page to check it out.

Anyway, I found this pic online. I don't understand the Inaria thing. Could someone explain please? (Leave comment!) LOL.
Well, I have been drawing wolves and I have a new main character. She is definataly the one I am staying with! I made her on the Create A Wolf thing. Her name is Arrow. I will draw her sooner or later.

This is a pic that I drew of the alpha's. I have some fixing to do (my grandma drew the hearts and the smiles on the wolves! LOL) but I think they look OK. Glacier needs some work!

Anyway, I am sorry for not blogging in a while. I will be on as much as possible!

More wolves

My main characters for the Black Heart Wolves are the 4 sisters: Jay, Kaya, Silver and Comet. Last night, I drew Jay and Comet. I plan on uploading Jay later on today. Here is a little bit about them:
Jay: Jay is small, but she is the oldest. She is outspoken, but has nothing mean to say about any one or anything. Though she is tiny, she has a massive heart of pure gold.
Comet: Comet is lean and mean. She never smiles and ALWAYS has something mean to say, even though she doesn't say it.

Found a Beautiful Anime Wolf!

I don't know who drew this wolf, but I find her very pretty. She inspired me to draw a new wolf, Dayshock. I found another wolf too. He inspired me to do Dayshock's brother, Nightwind.

Drawing Anime Wolves

It takes some practice to draw an anime wolf. First, you have to have a picture in your head or in front of you. Once you do, start drawing! Don't be upset if the drawing doesn't turn out. I have bad pictures too! Nobody can draw anything perfect right away. I'm sure the writers of the BBA comics didn't start out perfect. So go on and give it a try. Your drawings could become a graphic novel!

BBA Wolves

I am not a fan of the BBA comics (not at all) but I love the wolves. The pictures, that is. This wolf is a personal favorite. Her name is Tikiya.

This wolf is a muuuuch earlier version of my anime! You could agree that Nightstrike is better!
